5 Days Tour from Tangier to Marrakech

Day 1: Tangier ~ Chefchaouen:

On this first day, we will drive you from Tangier to Chefchaouen. Before arriving in Chefchaouen, we will visit Tetouan town. It is famous for the Akchour waterfalls. Then, we will drive along the Rif Mountains to Chefchaouen or the Blue Pearl city of Morocco. Hence, Chefchaouen is a charming city decorated with Andalusian style. You will have free time to walk through the blue streets of the old Medina. A Medina is a historic section of a city that is usually fenced and has narrow streets. There are many tourist attractions you can visit, like the Kasbah Museum and Plaza Uta El-Hammam Square. We will spend this night in charming Riad.

Day 2: Chefchaouen ~ Fes:

We will leave Chefchaouen towards Fes after breakfast. You will explore one of the imperial cities on this day of 5 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech. When we arrive in Fes, you will meet our local guide who will take you through the maze of the old Medina. You will explore the famous attractions of Fes. Therefore, you will start your tour with a visit to the gate of the Royal Palace and visit the Blue Gate which will take you to the University of Al-Karaouine. 

After that, you will visit the Jewish quarter or Mellah, Chouara Tannery and the ceramic pottery square. When you finish visiting all the attractions, we will take you to visit Marinid tombs on a hill above and north of the old Medina of Fes (Fes El-Bali). You will also enjoy a panoramic view of the whole Fes city from this hill. We will have a night in a Riad in the old Medina.

Day 3: Fes ~ Ifrane ~ Cedar Forest ~Ziz Valley ~ Merzouga:

After you enjoy your breakfast, we will visit Ifrane town which is known as the “Switzerland” of Morocco. Thereafter, we will keep driving through the Middle Atlas Mountains. The second stop will be in Cedar Forest near Azrou village where you can see the monkeys. We will then go to Midelt town in the middle of the Atlas Mountains where we will have lunch. From Midelt, we will cross a curvy mountain pass which is called Tizi N Talghamt. We will stop in the middle of this pass to enjoy a panoramic view of the huge mountains and valleys.

After that, we will reach Errachidia and we stop for another panoramic view of a palm oasis in Ziz Valley. Besides, we will continue driving to Erfoud city which is famous for local fossils and dates. Then, you will drive to the sandy dunes of Erg Chebbi in Merzouga village. You will experience riding camels and dunes and you spend a night in a desert camp, including dinner and music. This day can be one of the best days in 5 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech

Day 4: Merzouga ~ Rissani Town~ Todra Gorges ~ Dades Valley:

In the early morning, you will witness a wonderful sunrise. After that, you will enjoy a hot shower and breakfast in your desert camp. Afterwards, you will return to Merzouga on camels or in a 4×4 car. The next destination will be Rissani town. It is a traditional town that was the trading route of the caravans and was the original home to the current dynasty. The town is also famous for a local active souk/ market where you can see spices, crafts and sheep and cattle markets.

When you visit this town, we will drive through the Tafilalet oases to Tenijdad village. You will explore the operation of the Khettara there. It is a traditional underground irrigation system used for watering groves and oases. From here, we will drive to Touroug village where you can visit Amazigh or Berber cooperative clothes. It is possible to wear them and take pictures. Moreover, we will drive to Todra Gorges in Tinghir town. In this place, you will explore the high rock that attracts climbers. Then, we will drive to the Dades Valley which is known as the valley of figs. We will take you to visit Rock Formations that look like monkey fingers. Finally, we will be in a Riad where we will have dinner and the night.

Day 5: Dades Valley ~ Rose Valley ~ Ouarzazate ~ Ait Ben Haddou ~ Marrakech:

After breakfast, we will explore other places in the High Atlas Mountains. Firstly, we will drive on the Road of the Thousand Kasbahs. You will witness many Kasbahs beside the road. The next destination is Klaat M’Gouna town where we will visit Rose Valley. Thereafter, we will drive to Ouarzazate to visit the Kasbah of Taourirt. It is a former residence of Glaoui who was the Pasha of the High Atlas Mountains. 

Then, we will visit the Cinema Studio Atlas which is the biggest film studio in the world. From here, we will take you to visit the famous and oldest Kasbah of Ait Ben Haddou. You will have enough time to enjoy lunch and explore the Kasbah. Finally, we will drive along with the ranges of the High Atlas Mountains and Tizi’N’Tchka pass. You will enjoy the panoramic views of the mountains before we arrive in Marrakech. The 5 days tour from Tangier to Marrakech services will end after we drop you off anywhere in Marrakech.
