Itinerary of 5 days tour from Fes to Marrakech:

Day 1: From Fes to Merzouga

 On this first day, we pick you up from your Riad and start 5 days tour from Fes to Marrakech. During this Morocco trip, you discover the Middle Atlas Mountains and tourist towns. Firstly, you visit Ifrane town. Because of its alpine climate and European style, it is called the Switzerland of Morocco. Besides, Ifrane is known for ski stations and a huge national park. It is also the second cleanest town in the world. Furthermore, we drive to Cedar Forest near Azrou, a Berber village. It is the oldest and largest forest in the country where many different wild animals lived. There, you can enjoy walking around the forest and enjoying beautiful views of tall Cedar trees. Moreover, you can enjoy watching local monkeys.

 Secondly, we drive to Midelt and see nomad tents and their herds on the side of the road. Midelt is one of the industrial centres in Morocco. It is famous for apple production and fossils as well. We will enjoy lunch there and drive through the Tizi-N-Talghamt pass and Zabel Tunnel. After that, we stop in Ziz Valley for a panoramic view of the Valley of dates. Next, we drive through the palm oases towards Erfoud city. In Erfoud, you explore a traditional market of different date fruits and local products, such as fossils and species. Finally, we drive beside the mountains where locals hunt fossils. Also, geological trips are organized in these mountains. In Merzouga, you spend a night in Riad/hotel. Dinner and breakfast are included.

Day 2: Merzouga: desert excursion by 4×4 and camel trekking trip

 This is the most unforgettable day in 5 days tour from Fes to Marrakech. Merzouga is a small village in the Erg Chebbi surrounded by golden dunes. In Merzouga, there are many desert activities to do, but you will experience most of them today. Firstly, you will visit Sahrij Lake in the west of Merzouga. During the spring, the lake attracts flamingos, desert sparrows and other birds flying in flocks over the lake. Besides, you will visit Khamlia village or Gnawa village. You will meet Grnawa musical group and enjoy watching them play music. In addition, you explore the black desert and enjoy the whole view of the dunes. Near the border of Algeria around 50 km, you will visit nomads in traditional tents and enjoy lunch with them. After that, you visit a challenging work of mine.

 Secondly, you will experience a camel trekking trip. On this camel trip, you ride camels and enjoy the sunset in the middle of the dunes. You will also experience sandboarding at the camp. After you enjoy dinner, you will enjoy drum music around the campfire. Then, you can enjoy the stars and the Milky Way on the top of the dunes near the camp. Finally, you spend this night in tents to experience nomad style.

Day 3: From Merzouga to Dades Valley/ Dades Goges

 Waking up early to watch the sunrise is a must-do experience moment. When you have a hot shower and breakfast at the camp, you will return to your accommodation. Then, we resume 5 days tour from Fes to Marrakech to other destinations. Thus, we will stop in Rissani town. It is a commercial centre in this region where there is a lively market 3 times a week. In this market, you can see different sections such as a section of dates, vegetables, animals, clothes, handicrafts… From Rissani, we drive through the oasis of Tafilalete towards Jorf and Fezna towns. There, we visit Khettarrat or the underground system channel, which is an ancient way of irrigation. 

 Secondly, we will stop in at a Berber cooperative of clothes in Kasr Touroug. You will learn about Berber clothes, and you can wear them and take pictures. After that, you explore Todra Gores in Tinghir town. It is an impressive river running through high red rocks at 300m. Later on, you visit Rock Formations that have the shape of Monkey’s fingers. Then, you enjoy another panoramic view of the curves of Tissdrine road. Finally, we arrive at a Riad in overlooks the mountains in Dades Valley. Dinner and breakfast are there, too.

Day 4: From Dades Valley to Ouarzazate

 Today, we will start 5 days tour from Fes to Marrakech by exploring Dades Valley. After that, you drive through Thousand Kasbahs road. There are many kasbahs on the sides of the road. In Kalaat M’Gouna, you will discover Rose Valley. In April and May, the valley blooms with roses, and women collect them and convert them into rose products. Besides, The Rose Festival takes place each May to celebrate the rose harvest season. The Rose Festival lasts 7 days for celebration. However, the last day is the day of selecting Miss roses. Thereafter, you visit Amridil in the Skoura oasis. It is one of the ancient kasbahs in Morocco that dates back to the 19th century. Secondly, you will visit Ouarzazate, the city of movies in Morocco. In this city, you can visit the biggest Atlas Movie Studios where there are film materials. Also, you will visit another old Kasbah of Taourirt. Finally, you spend this night in Riad. Dinner and breakfast are in this Raid.

Day 5: From Ouarzazate to Marrakech

 On this last day, we will travel deep into the High Atlas Mountains. Thus, we will depart from Ouarzazate to Ait Ben Haddou Kabash. It is an earthen and impressive kasbah that dates back to the 17th century. The Kasbah was once a trading route between Morocco and the Sahara. This brick village has been declared a World Heritage Site in 1987. In this Kasbah, you will admire architectural homes and their corner towers. You can see a few residents in this kasbah because most of them moved to the modern village. The Kasbah is now used as a movie set to produce movies, such as the previous films, Gladiator, Alexander and Game of Thrones. 

 After that, we will pass through Tizi n’ Tichka road. It is a curved mountain path that stretches over the plains of the High Atlas Mountains. We will stop there and enjoy a panoramic view of the mountain ranges. Secondly, you will visit the Argan oil cooperative and discover local Argan products. Also, you will learn about the process of making these products. Then, we drive to the imperial city of Marrakech, and we drop you off at your Riad. Finally, we end the service of 5 days tour from Fes to Marrakech.
